Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff was spotted by fans leaving Ford Field after beating his former team.
A video has surfaced online showing Detroit’s starting quarterback being slowly driven out of Ford Field while sitting in the passenger seat. Fans told Goff they were happy the Lions won their first playoff game in 32 years.”Let’s go, Jared.” You are the king of Detroit. You’re the king of Detroit, kid.” a fan said as he approached the car Goff was driving. Speaking to reporters after the game, Goff imagined what it would be like to win a playoff game in Detroit.
“That’s right. It was almost surreal. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time,” Goff said. “Since I’ve been here, you’ve thought about winning in the playoffs and having that atmosphere in front of your home crowd and being able to sit on the ball and finish the game. Yes, I was very shocked. to be honest, I would have done the first job. I didn’t know it was over until the employees were laid off, but at that moment everything hit me at once. But yes, I had to endure a lot of emotions this week and I enjoyed every moment.
Last week was an emotional week for the 29-year-old, but his ability to shift his focus from the team’s past to the team’s present allowed the team to shine and win a tough playoff game.”Yes it was good. Like I said earlier this week, I’ve been watching this game for a while,”
Goff said. So I had very little time to prepare for this fanfare, and it took me back to what this game was all about: us. It wasn’t about them.”It wasn’t about me, it wasn’t about my history there, it wasn’t about their team or their coach, it was about us. There were about 53 people in the locker room, our coaches and this organization won in the playoffs in front of our home crowd.
