Packers CB Eric Stokes’ injury has been revealed ahead of a crucial Week 17 game.

The Green Bay Packers have been a surprising playoff contender this season as starting quarterback Jordan Love has played well this season. With two games left in the season, Green Bay is just one game out of wild-card contention and currently sits in 10th place in the NFC.

Given the importance of Green Bay’s final two games of the season, the team must avoid injury problems that could hinder the team’s potential playoff run. Green Bay Stokes should be a big part of the outstanding Green Bay secondary that has carried this team through tough games this season.

Stokes has missed this season after spending the entire season on injured reserve with a groin injury. Stokes was selected 29th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. The selection was criticized as unnecessary because the team at the time was waiting for a receiver to compliment former star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

At the time of the draft, there was great concern that Stokes was selected too early and would not be able to adapt to the professional game. Given his injury history, even if he hasn’t been on the field much, Green Bay will likely have to go for a higher-profile cornerback or another impact position.
