Jurrien Timber’s brother Quinten has been spotted in London as Arsenal look to finalise a deal for the Ajax star.

On Wednesday Arsenal reached an agreement to sign Timber from Ajax.

The Gunners will reportedly pay an initial £34.2million for the Netherlands international, plus a further £4.3million in performance-related add-ons.

Timber who came through Ajax’s academy and made 160 senior appearances for the club, is expected to have his medical in the next 72 hours and finalise personal terms.

The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for Arsenal and is set to become their third summer signing, following the arrivals of Kai Havertz and West Ham’s Declan Rice.

Timber’s twin brother Quinten posted a picture of himself in London, suggesting that he may be accompanying his brother as he undergoes his medical.

All the while, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano wrote on Threads that Arsenal would complete the signing of Timber on Friday.

The Italian journalist wrote: “Jurrien Timber is in London – he will become new Arsenal player on Friday.”

Elsewhere, Rice will have his medical with Arsenal this week ahead of signing a long-term contract.

The move will smash Arsenal’s transfer record, which was the £72million they paid for Nicolas Pepe back in 2019. The transfer will also be just shy of the British transfer record – the £106.8million Chelsea paid for Benfica for midfielder Enzo Fernandez in January of this year.

Jude Bellingham became the most expensive English player of all time early this summer when he made the £115million move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid earlier this month.
