The Cardinals claimed linebacker Trevor Nowaske off waivers Friday, the team announced. The Lions waived Novasque on Thursday. He played in two games for the Lions this season, one of which was a special teams tackle.
Nowask, who began his NFL career as a free agent with the Lions, was on Detroit’s practice squad before the team signed him to the active roster on Nov. 1. 2.The Cardinals also announced that wide receiver Marquise Hollywood Brown and defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter have been placed on injured reserve.
Brown is dealing with a lingering heel injury last week against the Bears after Brown previously left two games early. Ledbetter suffered a knee injury against the Bears, so the Cardinals will finish the season with four players on the bench. LJ Collier, Carlos Watkins and Leky Fotu were all previously on IR. In 12 games, Ledbetter recorded 46 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
