‘World-class’ Liverpool player worryingly absent from team training…

Dominik Szoboszlai’s magic on the pitch looks set to continue in photos from the Hungarian club’s training session shared by onliverpoolfc.com.

Liverpool’s summer signing, one of four new midfielders set to grace the halls of the AXA training centre, was ruled out with a thigh injury following Newcastle’s 4-2 win over United.

While the world-class Hungarian could return to Bournemouth in time (as reported by Harvey Elliott in the 90th minute), Jurgen Klopp is likely to hold on to the 23-year-old for some time. With Wataru Endo heading to the Asian Cup (good luck to him!), Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Alexis McAllister and Ryan Gravenberch are the only players to choose from in our vast selection.

We’ll be very happy to see our number eight on the team sheet on Sunday and won’t be too upset if a third of our former midfield trio feature against the Cherries. We’ll keep an eye out for any other updates between now and the pre-game press conference, but this could be a good thing!
