All indications are that Raiders owner Mark Davis plans to hire Antonio Pierce as the team’s next head coach.All indications except that it hasn’t happened yet.
That likely won’t be the case until Pierce is announced as the Raiders’ head coach. And if that hasn’t happened yet, the only explanation is that Davis hasn’t made up his mind yet. There are rumors that the Raiders are still interested in former Titans coach Mike Vrabel via Tom Brady. Pierce is also rumored to not be at the top of Brady’s list.
As far as we know, Brady hasn’t participated in any interviews, but it’s no secret that he’s one of the most influential voices in owners’ ears.Pierce may be hired soon, but until that happens, it’s safe to assume Davis isn’t convinced that Pierce and Champ Kelly are the best candidates for their respective jobs.
