Antonio Pierce’s impact over the final nine games of the regular season was undeniable, and now the Raiders are hoping that presence will carry over into free agency.
The Raiders have the advantage of being able to play in a fiscally advantageous situation, and now it appears the head coach is talking about where he wants to play in free agency next year. Raiders pundit Hondo Carpenter shared a story on this week’s Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast that will add some excitement to the upcoming free agency period for Raiders fans.
“I spoke to my agent tonight and he said he saw my FA report saying he wanted to play for [Antonio Pearce]. He called me and said, “I want to tell you something: I saw a report about a free agent who wants to play for AP.” He said: “Want to know the top things we hear from our customers? , “Dan Campbell, Antonio Pierce, Demeco Lyons”. [That’s why people want to play.”
The NFL’s free agency period begins March 13, but the first big hire Pierce will bring to Las Vegas is an offensive coordinator. One of the hottest offensive coordinator candidates in this year’s recruiting cycle (with interest from the Raiders) took the job with the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.
