Prediction: Detroit Lions-Dallas cowboys.

Johannes Macaron

The Lions are riding high after last week’s divisional win over the Minnesota Vikings. The level of competition is heating up in Dallas as the Cowboys remain undefeated at home this season. I expect the Cowboys to start strong in the fourth quarter and hold a double-digit lead. Dak Prescott is shut down and Dan Quinn’s defense is opportunistic. But one of the qualities that makes Dan Campbell’s side successful is their competitiveness and willingness to compete for 60 minutes. Detroit countered Dallas’ lead and Jared Goff found Sam LaPorta in the end zone for a touchdown.Again, the defense must be tasked with stopping Prescott.Look for the Lions offense to perform at a high level, with Jahmir Gibbs and David Montgomery each finding the end zone in Week 17. After winning the NFC North division title, the Detroit Lions have a chance in Week 17 to do something no other team has done. Defeating the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys’ home field advantage is as big, if not bigger, than any other advantage in the league. As a result, the Lions will face a tough matchup between two of the best teams in the NFC.Ultimately, I think Dallas has enough strength in the trenches to keep the Lions from getting overwhelmed. Teams that match the Lions in terms of strength and stamina have had success and I think the Cowboys fit the bill. With Cam Sutton’s availability questionable, Detroit’s secondary could compete with the likes of CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks. The Lions will fight, but I think this game will be a cloud they won’t be able to catch.Cowboys37, Lions 30

The Cowboys have to lose at home sometime, right? Mike McCarthy’s team is a perfect 7-0 at AT&T Stadium this season and has won 15 NFL home games.Detroit has a chance to play spoiler Saturday night with its play from the past two weeks. I think the tandem of Jameer Gibbs and David Montgomery will have a productive day on the field and help Dan Campbell’s side keep the game close. But in the end, Dak Prescott will outplay Jared Goff and Micah Parsons, and his defensive teammates will do enough damage for Dallas to win.
