Aaron Jones helped lead the Green Bay Packers to a surprise win over the Dallas Cowboys during Super Wild Card Weekend. In addition to his lethal scoring ability, Jones was an inspiration to his Packers teammates.
Jones scored three touchdowns en route to a 48-32 victory. Green Bay wide receiver Jayden Reed was on the mic during the win and could be heard giving Jones a flower for his work as a running back and teammate, via NFL Films.
“The reason I can go so fast is because of you, my friend. “You’re perfect, mate.” Reid said firmly. “Whoever plays for you, I want to come out and stop you. If you don’t reach a block, you feel bad.Jones was the star of the show against the Cowboys, rushing 12 times for 118 yards and three scores. Reed couldn’t impress or record late at night. But regardless of how much they produced against Dallas, Jones and Reed were critical to Green Bay’s offensive success.
Heading into the playoffs, Reed caught 64 passes for 793 yards and eight touchdowns. He leads the Packers in yards and receptions and is tied with Romeo Dubs for the team leader. While Jordan Love is getting used to QB1 duties, Reed has been instrumental in his success.During his stellar performance, his three-game winning streak was the highlight of Jones’ 2023 season.
For Dallas, Jones finished the regular season with 656 yards and two touchdowns. He added another 230 yards and a touchdown through the air. With this win, Jaden Reed, Aaron Jones and the Packers are set to face the San Francisco 49ers. Reed is ready to block as Jones goes for Paydirt three more times.
