Mary J. Blige seeks divorce from husband Kendu Isaacs after…

Mary J. Blige has filed for divorce from her manager husband Kendu Isaacs after 12 years of marriage, PEOPLE reports.

According to court filings filed on Tuesday, Blige cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for divorce and requested that the court remove Isaacs’ eligibility to receive spousal support.

“My marriage is not on the rocks, but I would be a liar and my fans would hate me if I said to them, ‘Oh, we’re perfect and everything is great,'” she said Wendy Williams on her show in 2012. “We have similar situations to everyone else. We are not out in public attempting to kill each other, but it is genuine. “We love each other.” Four years after their wedding, Blige stated that Isaacs had altered “everything” for her.
