Man City legend Sergio Aguero names his top three strikers of all time

The legendary Sergio Aguero of Manchester City has chosen his top three forwards of all time.

Aguero left Spanish La Liga team Atletico Madrid for City in a move reportedly worth £35 million back in July 2011.

He later rose to prominence as the club’s leading scorer and scored a crucial late goal against QPR in the 2011–2012 campaign to secure City the Premier League title.

The Argentine played 390 times for the Etihad club in all, tallying 260 goals.

Recently, during a Q&A on his Twitch channel, Aguero was asked to name his top three strikers of all time.

He said: “Top 3 strikers in history? Ronaldo Nazario, Thierry Henry and Luis Suarez. In that order.”

Brazil legend Ronaldo Nazario is widely regarded as one of the finest strikers to ever play the game.

During what was an illustrious career, Ronaldo played for some of the biggest clubs in world football including Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

In his career, Ronaldo scored 352 goals in 518 appearances.

After playing a significant part in Arsenal’s Invincibles season, Frenchman Thierry Henry is frequently referred to as the greatest player in Premier League history.Henry won 377 games and scored 228 goals throughout his two stints with the Gunners.

Henry has a statue outside the Emirates Stadium and will be remembered as one of the greatest Arsenal players of all time.

Following his success at Ajax, Suarez moved to Liverpool and quickly established himself as a true fan favorite.

Suarez clearly knows how to put the ball in the back of the net despite his darker side.

After leaving Anfield, the Uruguayan went on to play for La Liga giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, winning the league title with both sides.

In total Suarez has so far scored 476 goals in 775 matches in his career.
