“Liverpool” plans to transfer players from Serie A

Liverpool will look to put pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal when they travel to Burnley on Tuesday afternoon.Last time out at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp’s men drew 1-1 with the Gunners. They are one place behind Mikel Arteta in the Premier League.

The Merseyside club appear to be lining up a surprise move for the Serie A star. The German could use the January transfer window to strengthen his squad for next month. Francois Plateau says Liverpool are preparing a bid for AC Milan’s Raphael Leo.

They could also add current star Luis Diaz in a player-plus-cash deal. The Portuguese is considered the “perfect successor” to Sadio Mane by Manchester United’s recruitment officials, according to the journalist. The German superpower left Anfield for Bayern Munich last summer and is now based in Saudi Arabia.

Leo, 24, is one of the best strikers in Europe. He made 182 appearances for Milan and scored 47 goals in all competitions. The striker’s current contract runs until the summer of 2028 and he joined the Italian side from French club Lille in 2019.In January 2022, Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto and has since made 69 appearances in all competitions. During this period, the Colombian player scored 16 goals and 9 assists.

Although he is a regular in Leo Klopp’s team. Plateau said Liverpool could invite Diaz to play for Portugal. Premier League teams can offer players extra money. Milan may not want to sell Leo, who has played 19 games for the team this season.
