Trent Alexander-Arnold says Liverpool’s current plan is “surprisingly simple”. The Reds are aiming for four trophies this season. Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke to CNN this week about Liverpool’s goals for the rest of the season.
Above all: the right-back wants four trophiesThe Reds are currently tracking 4 players and they are showing good results. They are top of the Premier League, have reached the Carabao Cup final and are among the favorites for both the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League. But chasing these trophies requires deliberate thought. Liverpool need to take it one game at a time and avoid thinking about the ‘big’ game.
How easy is it?
Alexander-Arnold was asked this question by CNN’s Darren Lewis.”It’s surprisingly easy (to remember the final),” he said. “It’s true. I always think it’s surprisingly easy because nowadays every game is like a final. “I think other teams are lining up, which means [the Premier League] will have a clash as usual. That means you have to win every game. “You want this too. You want to push yourself as far as you can and push yourself to your limits. That’s why every match has to be won and even a draw feels like a defeat.”
“Certain other teams” are believed to be Manchester City, who are in the lead ahead of Liverpool. Only these two teams hold the title. City can climb the hill by winning their games. However, Liverpool know that a win over City at Anfield would take them back to top spot if they can take the three points. But the Reds won’t think about that at the moment. They won’t even think about the Carabao Cup final. Next Saturday, all eyes are on Burnley and Anfield.
