What used to be supposed to be a fundamental conflict between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers with Western Conference seeding implications, instead became into a referendum on the NBAās replay policy. A foremost malfunction with the shot clock in the fourth quarter stopped play for about sixteen minutes. Following the game, Warriors head teach Steve Kerr stated he believes that the NBAās replay policy wants to be changed.
āIām not a fan of replay. I think we should have replay just for buzzer beaters and thatās it,ā Steve Kerr said. āThe total goal with replay is to strive to get the whole lot right, but thereās a hundred performs at each end each night that are subjective. . .thereās all kinds of subjective stuff that happens. Weāre by no means going to get the whole thing right. I assume the drift of the game is way extra important.ā
The troubles for the duration of the Warriors sport towards the Lakers without a doubt commenced when the officers stopped game play with a little much less than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter to evaluate a manageable out of bounds call on Draymond Green. The shot clock then began to malfunction round the same time.
With all the delays, a 15-16 2d span took about sixteen minutes to complete. The Warriors would go on to win the game, 128-121. Kerr does have an fascinating point about reviews. But with out of bounds calls and other attainable game-changing plays, itās not going the NBA modifies its present day replay coverage in any way. Replays can be really useful and integral for games.Ā
