JUST IN: Packers’ Jaire Alexander savagely explains why Dak Prescott is now among his ‘top QBs’…

Jaire Alexander named Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott one of his best players after the Green Bay Packers defeated the NFC East champions 48-32 during Wild Card Weekend. Prescott may not be flattered by that sentiment.

Alexander rubbed salt in the wound in his postgame comments after catching a Prescott pass for the second time in his career. The cornerback bragged, courtesy of Matt Schneidman of The Athletic :

“There are a few quarterbacks in my career that have given me more picks, and Dak is one of them right now. That’s why he’s one of my best QBs.” Alexander earned the first pick against Prescott in Week 5 of the 2019 NFL season, a game the Packers won 34–24. Packers quarterback Alexander appearsPrescott struggled with the Packers’ defense on Sunday.

The Cowboys’ offense was held to just 7 points in the first half, as was Green Bay’s, thanks to Prescott’s 6 points over Darnell Savage in the second quarter. As time expired in the first half, Prescott’s pass to Jake Ferguson gave Dallas the win. But by then it was too late. The Packers took a 27-0 lead and Mike McCarthy’s team had to punt to get back at Alexander and Co.

Expected game in the second half. Prescott improved his stats as he tried to get his team back into the game. But the damage was already done. Cowboys fans will no doubt be concerned about Sunday’s outcome. But at least Jair Alexander found someone completely new.
