JUST IN: Lions sent clear message to NFL with…

Dan Campbell insists the Detroit Lions have put last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys behind them, but the coach’s Week 18 schedule tells a different story.

TheLions were up 13-6 in the second half of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings when Jared Goff threw a pass to wide receiver Dan Skipper. Skipper, of course, is the punter involved in Detroit’s failed two-point conversion attempt last week.

Detroit cut the Cowboys lead to 20-19 with 23 seconds left. Campbell decided to go for the win after two wins and at first it looked like that decision would pay off. Offensive lineman Taylor Decker caught a pass in the back of the end zone after a fake play by Jared Goff. However, the two-point conversion was canceled when organizers ruled Decker ineligible.

The Lions intentionally fumbled the Cowboys during the game, confusing referee Brad Allen. As a result, Skipper, not Decker, was deemed eligible.Campbell explained why he thinks Dallas’ failure will be good for the Lions this week. The pass to the skipper shows that he is still thinking about the game.
