Joao Felix has got fans talking after he was spotted training whilst wearing a West Ham United shirt.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of the 22/23 season on loan at Chelsea from Atletico Madrid.
However, the Portuguese failed to impress as he produced a string of disappointing performances.
In 16 Premier League appearances, Felix only managed four goals and did not manage to register a single assist.
The attacker was recently seen on camera working out during preseason while donning a West Ham shirt with the name of Algerian legend Said Benrahma on the back.
Fans of the Hammers are discussing this on social media.
He would thrive playing with Benrahma and Lucas Paqueta, in my opinion, one person stated.
Back in May, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo confirmed that Chelsea will not be signing Felix on a permanent deal.
“Yesterday we learned that the new Chelsea manager [Pochettino] does not [want] Joo Félix,” he informed Spanish media.
“We’ve only been aware for a few hours. He’ll return here, and then we’ll see. We have nothing set in motion.
Despite spending £114 million to bring Felix to Madrid back in 2019, the La Liga team is trying to sell him during the summer transfer window, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea, however, is trying to expand its roster in preparation for the 23/24 season.
Chelsea has been linked with players like Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Rayan Cherki after losing players like Edouard Mendy, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Kai Havertz, and Mason Mount.
