Jerry Jacobs and Taylor Decker of the Detroit Lions will miss practice on Wednesday.

The Detroit Lions returned to practice Wednesday to prepare for their Week 17 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Jerry Jacobs and Taylor Decker were among those who did not attend the practice sessions open to the media. A team source said Jacobs was at practice.James Houston was also absent from practice. Coach Dan Campbell said the sophomore could begin return-to-game practices this week, but he did not participate Wednesday. Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley, who is out for the season with a knee injury, was seen on the sideline during practice.

Micah Parsons has been a dominant force for the Cowboys, recording 13.0 sacks so far on the season. The Lions’ offensive line has been strong all season, which could make for an interesting matchup in Saturday’s game. With a shortened practice week, the Lions are scheduled to hold their third practice session on Wednesday.

Answering the Cowboys rush led by Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence will not be an easy task for the offense in these situations. “This is our third day, and when you add that third tape, you’re just celebrating the third and fifth addition at quarterback,” Johnson said. “What they can do with their pass rush is pretty special. So Micah is a big part of the issues we’re covering this week.”
