The NFL has finally released its Week 18 schedule, which features a slew of prime-time games that include key playoff contests.
The Detroit Lions’ scheduled time is 1:00 p.m. ET against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Jan. 7. Both the Lions and Vikings have pieces to play for, but both need a lot of help to get where they want to go. If the Lions want a two seed, they have to beat Minnesota. Then they have to sit back and watch, hoping the Eagles lose to the Giants and the Cowboys lose to the Chiefs. Both meetings take place at 16:25. ET on Sunday. The Vikings need a lot of help to make the playoffs.
Here are some of the less likely routes to the postseason:
The vikings defeated the lions.
TheBears beat the Packers.
TheCardinals beat the Seahawks.
Buccaneers(vs. Panthers) or Saints (vs. Hawk) will be defeated
The big question is who will start at quarterback for the Vikings. Minnesota moved to Jaren Hall in Week 17, but went back to Nick Mullens after a terrible first half and beat the Packers.
For primetime games, the Texans and Colts square off on Saturday at 8 p.m. ESPN/ABC: 3 PM ET for a crucial battle in the AFC South/Wild Card race. And the final game of the 2023 regular season will be between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins for the AFC East title.
