Right now, the Denver Broncos are blazing. Though they did lose to the Los Angeles Chargers last week, they have now won four of their previous five games, including a significant victory on Thursday Night Football over the New Orleans Saints. They might be viewed as a serious danger to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West if they can establish a reliable offensive. Their run game was playing better on Thursday than it has all year, and that will just continue to spread via the air.
With a somewhat easy opponent coming up against the Carolina Panthers, it could be the perfect time to build on that before they play the Baltimore Ravens and then the Atlanta Falcons after the Chiefs, a stretch of three really good teams.
But, enough talk about the offense, when the defense was outstanding. They have shown that they are a top unit in the league, no questions asked. Sure, the Saints were missing several players on offense, but that’s part of the game. The Broncos were missing the best cornerback in the league Patrick Surtain.
One thing that isn’t being talked about enough, though, is what one defensive lineman did during the game. A lot of Broncos fans noticed it, but I’m not sure any national media people were really talking about it at all.
