The Detroit Lions’ successful season has completely captivated the city and its fans. Jared Goff understands this and believes the Lions quarterback is missing a certain fan base in the area and needs to be involved in the next playoff game. Goff spoke with Doug Karsch and Scott “Gator” Anderson on 97.1 The Ticket Tuesday in Detroit, two days after leading the Lions to their first playoff win in 32 years.
In an interview, the Lions quarterback praised the team’s fans for the lively atmosphere at Ford Field during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. “It’s the best (atmosphere) I’ve ever been in. Our fans bring it, they really are. Now the question is: can they beat themselves this week? But it was really cool and the support was really special to me,” Goff said, via Will Burchfield.
Goff also felt he was missing a famous fan: Kid Rock. Goff hopes the Detroit Rock Stars can make it to Ford Field for Sunday’s playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.”I think the only person who hasn’t seen it in the game yet is Kid Rock,” Goff said, via Burchfield. “I think it would be very nice. “I think the public will love it,” he said.
Rappers Eminem and Big Sean were among the celebrities in attendance at the wild card playoff game against the Rams. Former Lions stars Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson also attended the game.Kid Rock is a Michigan native who established himself on the Detroit rap scene before becoming a successful musician.
Kid Rock has performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in the past. However, Kid Rock has been involved in some controversies over the years. But now musician Goff himself has received an invitation to the Lions’ playoff game.
How could he refuse that?
