The Las Vegas Raiders’ relationship with All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams is always a topic of conversation.
The Raiders have had their ups and downs since Adams arrived. They’ve had multiple head coaches, offensive coordinators and quarterbacks in the short time Adams has been on the staff. Before joining the Raiders, Adams was a steady player in the National Football League. He played on a historic team, just like he played on the Raiders. But the record was similar during his time with the Green Bay Packers. While with the Packers, Adams was paired with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Aaron Rodgers. The two played together throughout Adam’s career until he was traded to the Raiders.
Adams is currently with the Raiders and Rodgers is with the New York Jets, with Rodgers reportedly trying to recruit Adams for the Jets’ latest draft. Adams is often listed as a trade option for the Raiders. But while Rodgers did his best to recruit Adams, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said the Raiders are not trading their star receiver. “The Las Vegas Raiders are winning and rarely moving players, so from what I understand Aaron Rodgers tried to find Davante Adams on the plane,” Rapoport said. Who knows if the Raiders will have an offensive coordinator next season, Adams, and he knows how to integrate him into the offense.
Las Vegas plans to add another quarterback and may retool its offensive line. “Remember, last year the planes came to it, there was nothing there. I hope to try it again this winter. From what I hear, the Raiders want to win, believe they can win, and have no plans to trade Davante Adams. Time will tell the final outcome of the Raiders offense. But for now, Las Vegas has no plans to trade its most offensive weapons.
