Will this be the week that more fit players return to the field for the Hurricanes?

This Saturday afternoon is the Miami Hurricanes’ hardest test of the season. How fit is the squad going into their Florida State rivalry match?

On Monday, Mario Cristobal, the head coach, provided some information.

During the match against NC State, Jaden Davis and Daryl Porter Jr., the starting cornerbacks, sustained injuries.

Said Cristobal, Davis “is doing well. He is flawless. Regarding Porter: “Daryl had a rough Saturday, but we have a lot of hope for him. He appeared really presentable today.

Although rookie receiver Nathaniel “Ray Ray” Joseph has been sidelined, Cristobal reports that he appeared healthy on Monday and that they anticipate him to be “full go” this coming weekend.

Mario anticipates that Ajay Allen, the running back, will start this week after sitting out the NC State game. He mentioned Elijah Arroyo, the tight end, saying, “We feel optimistic he will be a full go as well.”

It sounded like Cristobal was most dubious about Porter after listening to his remarks in real time. The Hurricanes will be facing Florida State’s explosive passing attack this week, so they could really utilize their best cover corner.

We will be keeping an eye on FSU’s top receivers, Keon Coleman and Johnnie Wilson, all week long. Coleman was not allowed to play against Pitt last weekend, thus Wilson has missed the previous two games. If one or both of them miss out, Miami might really be in for a treat.
