The Detroit Lions took to the practice field and continued their preparations for the Minnesota Vikings Thursday.
Detroit is in search of its 12th win in the regular season finale, a mark that was last reached in 1991.
Among those not participating in the portion of practice open to the media were Frank Ragnow, Brock Wright and Jameson Williams.
Detroit’s speedy wideout has now missed his second consecutive practice.
Taylor Decker, who missed practice Wednesday, was spotted at the team’s Allen Park practice facility.
The Lions are not pulling any punches ahead of Sunday’s game, as coach Dan Campbell plans to play the team’s starters in the regular season finale.
“To me, this is about winning this game,” Campbell said. “And we’re gonna use our full arsenal and go win this game. That’s the objective here.”
In order for the Lions to move up in playoff positioning, they would need losses from both Dallas and Philadelphia along with a win. Both Dallas and Philadelphia are scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. in their respective games.
As a result, there will be intrigue surrounding the games after the Lions finish their own.
“No, I mean, everybody’s gonna be wanting to see it and that’s why you’ve got to win, so you’re excited to watch the games and see what happens,” Campbell explained. “We’ve got to go finish out strong, we’ve got to go finish out strong.
“We need to go out and play good football, good, clean, solid, competitive football against an opponent that is gonna give us everything they’ve got,” Campbell commented further. “And, look, they’re prideful, they don’t like what happened the other night. I know what that is, and so they’re gonna try to come back with everything they’ve got at our place. So we’ve got to be ready to go.”
