Regarding their suspected interest in Kylian Mbappe, the star forward for Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal has received a severe warning.
Mass transfer rumors have been swirling since Mbappe informed PSG that he will not be extending his contract in the summer.
To avoid losing him for free the next season, the 24-year-old attacker has been predicted to quit the Ligue 1 giants.
After making an attempt to entice Mbappe to the Bernabeu last year, Real Madrid is considered one of the strong favorites to recruit him.
However, Carlo Ancelotti could face competition from Arsenal, who are currently ‘considering whether or not to send a package’ to his representatives, according to a sensational report from FootballTransfers
The report adds that the Gunners are keeping tabs on the Frenchman’s situation, having already signed Chelsea forward Kai Havertz this summer.
Meanwhile, the north London club are on the verge of completing the signing of Declan Rice after agreeing a £105m deal with West Ham last week.
Having previously joined PSG from Monaco in a transaction of £163 million in 2017, one could speculate that Mbappe’s price tag could be a significant roadblock.
Rio Ferdinand, a former defender for Manchester United, responded angrily to the rumors by labeling them a “good dream” and releasing a statement.
Arsenal warned Mbappe harshly.
On his YouTube channel, Ferdinand addressed rumors that Mbappe would join Arsenal, but he also said that he could not envision the World Cup winner playing at Old Trafford I don’t think he’s even gettable (for Manchester United) at the price they’re talking about for him,” said the former England international.
When asked about a potential move to Arsenal, he added: “You man can’t get him either! Arsenal can’t get him either. Don’t even start thinking and dreaming.
“It’s a good dream.”
