A BBC rugby reporter provokes outrage by reporting that a video of…
At a Windsor farm shop, Princess Kate, 42, was spotted strolling with Prince William, much to the delight of royal enthusiasts. The video was supposed to put a stop to internet rumors, as many people had been wondering why she hadn’t been spotted in public since her “planned abdominal surgery” in January.
However, several people don’t believe the footage is legitimate, including reporter McLaughlan of BBC Sports. The rugby journalist offered her opinions on X, stating that the woman shown with Prince William in the video captured by someone there might not actually be Princess Kate. The rugby journalist was the primary match interviewer for the BBC during the last Six Nations.
McLaughlan commented on a widely shared film that juxtaposed newly shot, amateurish footage of Kate with earlier, professionally produced photos, saying, “It’s so obviously not Kate.” It is being reported as fact by certain newspapers. However, it’s not her. Not a conspiracist, but they’re all really strange. “Could be a couple of lookalikes making mischief,” she said in her speculation.
Her post, which was later removed, wasn’t warmly received by many people. “I’m bothered that you are perpetuating ridiculous claims,” one person said. It is commonly known that Catherine and her visit to the farm shop. She will resume her responsibilities following Easter, which is in only a few weeks, as we have always been informed.”
Another said, “Those who believe in conspiracies have no business reporting news. especially not on a station that is backed by the public.” A third person sighed: “Sonja – you’ll have the BBC’s lead disinformation officer investigating you for being a conspiracy theorist.”
Rejecting the “ridiculous” accusations that it wasn’t actually her in the video, the man who captured Kate, Princess of Wales, and Prince William over the weekend revealed that “excited” staff members also recognized her.
The future queen and William were walking side by side when Nelson Silva, 40, took a picture of them on Saturday as they went to the Windsor Farm Shop. Many conspiracy theories concerning her whereabouts were aroused by the film, with some arguing that Kate’s lookalike was captured on camera.
