Here are Liverpool’s next five games after their 4-1 win over Chelsea in the Premier League. The Reds are chasing trophies. Liverpool are on a good run at the moment and their last win was a real statement. Manchester United’s home side Chelsea have struggled to win in recent years but have come up short.
Arsenal VS Liverpool – PL.
Riga Two of Liverpool’s biggest and toughest league games remain. If they win, they will go eight points clear of Arsenal and head into the second leg against Manchester City. But honestly, the fans here would have been satisfied with just a draw. This is a very difficult match and Mohamed Salah might not play. Of course, it happened in the FA Cup last month, but Arsenal were in a bad situation at the time. This will be a big test for the Reds and show how good they are. Sunday 4 February – 16:30 GMT
Liverpool VS Burnley – Premier League
The exact opposite of the clash with Arsenal. Liverpool face Burnley and everything seems to be going wrong for them to win. The Reds need to get this win if they want to be real title contenders. This is basically a “momentum” match where you either continue a big momentum or end it altogether. Liverpool will of course be the biggest favorites and everyone expects a very aggressive performance.Saturday 10 February – 15:00 GMT
Brentford VS Liverpool – Premier League
Again, you have to win. Liverpool know exactly what the title race looks like against Manchester City and they are in a different race.A match against a team in mid-table and at risk of relegation must end with three points and there is no room to drop a point. Brentford are currently 15th in the table and may move up that position a bit come this game, but that doesn’t change Liverpool’s attitude.3 points are required.Saturday 17 February – 12:30 GMT
Liverpool VS Chelsea – Carabao Cup Final
Liverpool are the biggest of the five teams looking for their first win of the season. This will be a repeat of the 2022 final, with Jurgen Klopp eyeing a second Carabao Cup after winning the competition in 2022.Of course, Liverpool will be the favourites.
The 4-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield certainly confirmed that and a repeat performance would guarantee a trophy. However, Manchester United fans will be hoping that Mohamed Salah shows his full potential in the final. His presence in the team takes everything to a higher level and even if he remains in good form during his absence, Liverpool have the best chance of winning a trophy with their star striker.I hope this is the first shocking incident of Klopp’s farewell tour. Sunday 25 February – 15:00 GMT
Liverpool VS Watford Southampton – FA Cup
Liverpool’s fifth game is special. They still don’t know who they will play or when the game will be. The Reds were drawn against either Watford or Southampton in the fourth round. This will obviously be a fifth round match and Liverpool are likely to rest several players for this game. This comes on the heels of the Carabao Cup final, which also saw them take on their Championship rivals.
