When it comes to beer pong, Kate Middleton is “ultra competitive.”
There is a competitive side to Kate Middleton. Alongside Prince William, Princess Anne, and Mike Tindall, the couple’s cousin, Princess Kate made an appearance on the podcast “The Good, The Bad, & The Rugby” to discuss Middleton’s competitive spirit. Tindall chuckled, “I’m not going to say you’re uber competitive,” then indicated with a sardonic nod.
Princess Kate continued by saying that she has never “actually managed to finish a game” of table tennis with Prince William. “It turns into a mental test between us,” the woman clarified. In the end, Prince William pointed out, it comes down to “who can out-mental each other.” It appears that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the couple’s three children, have inherited their competitive spirit. Princess Anne joined in, saying, “Just a little bit, I would suggest,” during the discussion.
“What I think is really interesting is that they are all obviously very different temperaments,” replied Kate, adding that “they are growing and trying out different sports.” She then added, “They’re obviously still really young.” “It’s going to be interesting to see how that grows and develops.”
Eight-year-old Princess Charlotte enjoys playing rugby and soccer, two activities that Middleton did not have access to while she was in school. “Charlotte’s playing both the sports now, and it’s really good to see youngsters, particularly girls, playing these types of sports now,” Kate said. Princess Kate left for France on Saturday to support her country, England, in the Rugby World Cup’s opening round. Argentina was the team’s opponent. The Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League are both sponsored by Middleton. The final score between Argentina and England was 27–10.
