In just three days, the Kansas City Chiefs will play in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, angering coach Antonio Pierce for sending a message to his opponents during Thursday’s NFL awards ceremony.Asked about the situation, Pearce basically told management not to slam the door on the way out. “I’m glad they get to see it someday. Then they can go.” Pierce said.
Pierce’s harsh response is not surprising. After shedding the interim tag and taking a full-time head coaching position with the Raiders, he took it a step further and started the conversation. Pierce recently shared some big goals for himself, saying he wants to climb the “Mount Rushmore” of franchise managers. He also shared his dream of bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Rider Country.
Caught AP on the red carpet for the #NFLHonors and asked him about the Chiefs and 49ers playing in the Raiders stadium.
