Meyers said the Patriots fell $1 million short of what they wanted in a contract extension to stay in Foxborough.”It’s not moving,” Myers said. “At the end of the day, Bill Belichick didn’t want to move, and I respected him for that. It’s about doing what’s best for his team and doing what he thinks is best for the team. It didn’t align with what I thought my values were.
