Three-time NBA MVP Larry Bird has won three titles, more amazing moments during his playing career than we can count. However, Larry Legend shares his legendary 1980 Topps rookie card with Dr. J and the legendary Magic Johnson. It wasn’t until his second season in the league that Topps produced their 1981 set that Larry had his first single card. A mint 1981 Bird card should be at the top of your wish list if you collect Bird cards!
Chef Ted was given a pack of 1981 Topps by Charlie G of VB West, and the centering was rather good throughout. Sir Charles prayed to the centering Gods after catching a peek of the back of the Bird card.
This could be a PSA 9 with Larry Bird! Out of the 9.696 Birds graded in the pop report, only 1.403 have a PSA 9 without a qualifier. Well done, Chef! For you, we’re praying for a PSA 9.
