Fans club members of U2 will be ecstatic about the most recent exclusive. The final Sphere episode, featuring a spin on a Gavin Friday interview, will be aired on the website.
U2 revealed on May 1st that the lengthy interview with Friday would be aired live from the Zoo Station exhibit at the Venetian. This includes Larry Mullen Jr.’s stand-in for the residency, Bram van den Berg, as well as band members Bono, The Edge, and Adam Clayton. Pauli “The PSM” Lovejoy, who opened for the band at Sphere, was also interviewed. “U2:UV Achtung Baby’s last night was unforgettable, with the unmistakable opening of ‘Zoo Station’ and the closing benediction of ’40’,” the statement said. On Friday, May 3, the broadcast is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET. It was also disclosed in the announcement that the entire program will air. Following the show, fans will have 48 hours to tune in again on demand. The program first aired on St. Patrick’s Day on SiriusXM before spreading to other radio stations. A $40 annual subscription to the U2 fan club is required. There is a gift included with every subscription. There are currently two choices. U2 The Complete Lyrics 1979-1988 Vol. 1 from last year is the first. U2’s The Complete Lyrics 1991–2023 Vol. 2 is the second.
For $75, fans can also purchase a premium subscription. This covers both of the lyric books’ volumes. A subscription also gets you access to exclusive tour images and videos.
