The new Gatorade advertisement features Jayson Tatum as the face…
Jayson Tatum has been chosen by Gatorade to star in the company’s first campaign of the year, mixing his passion for basketball and gaming with the launch of their newest product, Gatorlyte, which is intended for quick rehydration.
In 2015, the four-time All-Star was named Gatorade Player of the Year. Most recently, he designed his own bottle, the Gx Collab. The All-Star Game MVP this year created a bottle that tells the tale of Jayson Tatum, much like his first signature shoe, the Jordan Tatum 1.
The Gx Collab bottle designed by the former Duke Blue Devil and current player for the Boston Celtics showcases the player’s path to the NBA, his son Deuce, and several easter eggs, such as the St. Louis arch and some of his tattoos.
“Since being awarded Gatorade Player of the Year in high school and most recently collaborating on my own custom Gx bottle, working with Gatorade has always been a highlight of my career,” Tatum said.
“I still always drink Gatorade before, during, and after my exercises and sporting events. I adore that they’re constantly coming out with new products to help athletes of all levels perform at their best, like Gatorlyte.”
The advertisement, which you can view below, launches right before March Madness, the pinnacle of collegiate basketball. For the next few months, it will air.
