Aaron Butler, a four-star athlete, commits and signs with Texas
The Texas Longhorns are still adding players to their 2024 class even though the Early Signing Period is about to end. Aaron Butler, a four-star athlete from Calabasas, California, committed to Texas late Friday night, adding another outstanding recruit to their already select class.
Butler officially joined the Horns’ top-five 2024 recruiting class on Friday night when he signed his national letter of intent with the team.
Butler chose the Horns over Arizona’s pursuit and the Washington Huskies, the Longhorns’ opponent in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Butler is said to have two-way skills, and it seems like Colorado had that in mind for him. He is ranked No. 179 among players in the country, No. 7 among athletes, and No. 16 among players in California, per the On3 Industry Ranking
Butler’s arrival has caused the Horns to drop to No. 3 in the On3 national team rankings while maintaining their No. 2 rating on Rivals.com. Moreover, Texas is ranked third by 247Sports.
