Should Pete Rose Be Inducted Into the Hall of Fame? Allow the voters to decide
Denny McLain had two excellent seasons as a Major League Baseball pitcher. In 1968, he won 31 games for the Detroit Tigers (the last pitcher in MLB to win at least 30) and lost six; the next season, he finished 24-9. He was named the American League’s Most Valuable Player in 1968, and he earned the Cy Young Award as the league’s finest pitcher the next two years. McLain’s remaining eight seasons with various clubs could be classified as mediocre: He was 76-76.
