Red Bull’s chief advisor Helmut Marko has revealed there is a new candidate to replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull for 2025, despite the Mexican signing a two-year extension in the summer.
Red Bull Racing is reportedly considering Carlos Sainz as a potential replacement for Sergio Perez when his contract ends in 2024, which could lead to a significant team shake-up. Sainz, currently with Ferrari, has been linked to a possible return to Red Bull, where he started his F1 journey alongside Max Verstappen in their junior team. With Sainz’s Ferrari contract expiring, and his future with the team uncertain, Red Bull may look to reunite him with Verstappen in 2025 if Ferrari opts not to extend his deal.
