Sergio Aguero, a former striker for Manchester City, has his sights set on a new vocation that could make him even richer.
Aguero more or less accomplished football, becoming one of the best goal scorers in Premier League history while playing for Manchester City and winning five league championships during that time.
The Argentinean, who played in 275 Premier League games and contributed 55 assists, will always be remembered for his thrilling injury-time goal that helped City win the championship in 2012.
Just four games after going to Barcelona, the 35-year-old was compelled to end his career early owing to a cardiac problem.
In December 2021, Aguero made his retirement from football official. He had won six League Cups, one FA Cup, and five Premier League championships by then.
He has since discovered alternative means of support, though, and is eager to embark on a new career as a professional poker player. His goal is to take home £8 million at a poker event in Las Vegas.
More than 3,000 people are taking part in the two-week World Series of Poker Main Event, including the former Atletico Madrid footballer.
