Valentine’s Day has arrived again, right after the Super Bowl. We thought this would be a great opportunity to revisit one of our favorite annual partnerships: our beloved Steelers!Current SCU participants participating in this year’s Virtual Valentine’s Day, including players who have performed well on the field, include:Rudolph the MasonIt’s easy to like Mason Rudolph because he’s fresh in our minds and technically a Steeler until free agency starts next month.
We’re excited to see the former third-round pick go from being a backup early in his career to being the Steelers’ season savior in recent months, leading them to the playoffs. Whatever the future holds for Rudolph, he left us with some great memories to end the 2023 season. Joey Porter Jr.Many Pittsburgh Steelers fans root for the Penn State Nittany Lions. The same group of fans cheered when the Steelers took the 32nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The fact that his name, senior Joey Porter, is a Steelers legend was just icing on the cake.In “Dog,” just like his father, Joey Jr. His grit earned him a spot on the All-Rookie First Team and overnight he became one of the best corners in the league. He also wears the number 24 in honor of “Uncle Ike (Taylor)”. What’s not to like about Joey Porter?
Keanu Benton
Several newbies made this list and for good reason. Some fans were asking for an offensive lineman or a cornerback, but it was our staff that asked for Benton. With three top-50 picks in last year’s draft, the Steelers have already filled the top two positions listed on their wish list. With the Wisconsin product selected with the 49th overall pick, there was no time for anyone else to fall right into the Steelers clutch. Mike Tomlin’s actual response during the press conference was “not many players,” but when Benton’s name came up, the coach laughed. It’s funny. I just interviewed him. I am very excited about his future prospects. He is really talented. I think he will be able to dominate sooner or later. So how quickly can we do this and what is our role in this? So we had a really good conversation about how we were going to build it and what that foundation would look like.

A consummate professional, Hayward is an inspiration to teammates and fans alike.Last Man of the Year Walter Payton personified the word “leadership” during the 2023 NFL regular season and postseason.
