Returning to Happiness by Walking
Do you recall the song “Walking Back To Happiness” by Helen Shapiro? The other day, when I was listening to the lyrics, the line “All my blues have blown away” brought to mind how wonderful it always feels to take a stroll and feel all those endorphins swirling around. Recently, one of our customers sent us an email which we have permission to quote from
It’s a great way to get some exercise and fresh air without really feeling like you’re exercising, if that makes sense. I’m now off work due to stress and depression, and my doctor has advised me to move around. Now that we’ve completed Knaresborough and Harrogate, it’s been really healing for me. (Leeds, Kath R.) Naturally, we are happy that our products are making someone feel better, and we wish Kath a speedy and full recovery. Another of our clients informed us that she and her autistic son participate in the Trails because she feels they are very beneficial to him.
Getting the kids outside for exercise and away from their phones and tablets is something we hear about on a regular basis! When SR from Gloucester sent in her solution for the Bristol Harbourside Trail, she said to us, “The whole family had a great time with this.” never once requested a screen to keep my two boys entertained!” That must be advantageous for them now! It’s common knowledge that walking is healthy, yet not everyone enjoys walking. While walking, there are moments when you need a little prodding or even some slight distraction. You could do far worse than enjoying a little happiness if you’re feeling a little down and need to bring some joy back into your life.
