The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to search for offensive linemen and must fill the vacancy left by strength and conditioning coach Marcel Pasteur. Pasteur left the team last month after 23 years with the organization. It was a slow process, but eventually many names began to emerge.
According to Sports Illustrated, the Steelers will interview Boston College strength and conditioning coach Phil Matusch and Atlanta Falcons assistant coaches Matt Baker and Mateo Cambui. Matush was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania, about an hour north of Pittsburgh. Matush has a lot of experience at the university.

He joins the staff after spending two seasons (2021-22) as Marlin Briscoe’s associate coach with the Denver Broncos, according to his bio on the Falcons’ website.
As part of his role, Kamboui wrote film breakdowns and scouting reports while also helping coach the receivers. Prior to Denver, Camboui spent one season (2020) as an assistant at Georgia Southern University and one season (2019) as the running backs coach at his alma mater, Florida A&M University.Prior to his coaching career, Kambui played two seasons (2014-15) at Florida A&M, where he played 22 games under center, and two seasons (2012-13) at Butler Community College in El Dorado. The first group was assembled.

Baker spent the 2023 season as the Falcons’ assistant special teams coordinator. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for three seasons at John Carroll University. Baker was the backup quarterback for the Buffalo Bills from 2006 to 2009.
