The Las Vegas Raiders are still searching for a head coach and general manager, but have wrapped up one of their first interviews of the offseason. They plan to interview more people. This time it was among the executives and front office staff of a competitor in the division.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Raiders have interviewed Broncos general manager Kelly Klein Van Calligan for the general manager position. I’m sure Kelly Klein Van Calligan is a great guy. It would be great to be the first team in the NFL to have a female general manager.
However, this is a team that hasn’t beaten the Raiders in four years and is in financial trouble after making the worst trade in NFL history for Russell Wilson. That doesn’t mean it can’t be great, but it’s something to think about.
