Las Vegas Raiders fans are at a standstill. Half of fans don’t want the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. Half of us don’t want the San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl. On the one hand, it’s your division rival, and on the other, it’s your old neighbor from Byra.
During the Superbowl at Allegiant Stadium, this is where the Raiders really struggle. Before the Raiders moved to Las Vegas and when the stadium was built, there was a photo of a Chiefs fan working as a stadium construction worker burying a Chiefs flag under the current stadium. It’s been a running joke for some time that this still makes the stadium “boss country”.
However, Raiders fans denied this. The Raiders fan tweeted a photo of himself with the flag when it was buried in 2017. The story is that he went to dig it up. To prove it wasn’t a fake photo, which is easy to do these days, he posted his entire camera roll along with some good shots he took with his phone. So Raiders fans might be depressed this week, next week and for a while after that, and that makes them feel better.
