Mark Murphy, president and CEO of the Green Bay Packers, publishes a monthly column on Packers.com called “Murphy Takes 5,” where he shares his thoughts on hot topics and answers five questions from fans. This month he added his thoughts on the Packers’ playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers’ absence from the Pro Bowl and new Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley.
Meanwhile, the Packers leader calmly answered a question from a critical fan. A question that isn’t a question Justin M. He said this from Tucson, Arizona.I am emailing you today to express my displeasure and displeasure with the franchise and the direction it is headed under your tenure as CEO. I believe it is time to retire and hand over the leadership of the organization to someone else who is ready to take over the team for the future.
Your leadership was incompetent. You are not qualified to lead such a legendary franchise. Please disappear into the retirement ether. Nobody likes you. You were never a good manager. I wish you the worst of the last years. Needless to say, Justin doesn’t like the Packers quarterback. But that didn’t stop Murphy from responding with these words:Thanks for sharing your thoughts Justin. I would also like to thank you for the other 11 recent emails containing similar suggestions. I understand your point of view. You will be pleased to know that according to our bylaws I am to retire in July 2025.
Murphy didn’t mention that Justin emailed a man he’s never met a dozen times in his spare time to express his displeasure with Murphy’s tenure. Well, Justin, I hope Mark Murphy isn’t leaving any time soon. Anyway, thanks for the effort. Especially considering Green Bay is giving him a farewell party in the form of the 2025 NFL Draft!
