Bayern Munich pondered hijacking the move on Monday, reaching out to Dragusin’s camp, but Genoa did not receive a formal bid from the German giants.

Napoli, Genoa’s Serie A opponents, were also interested in the 21-year-old Romania international and made a players-plus-cash offer at the end of last week, but the Romania international chose a move to the Premier League.

Dragusin is anticipated to fill in for first-team center Cristian Romero, who is presently out with a hamstring injury, and Micky van de Ven.

Dragusin might be in the Spurs squad for Sunday’s encounter against Manchester United, depending on how quickly the transaction is completed.

Spence, 23, is likely to return to France after spending the second half of last season with Rennes.

The full-back, who was purchased from Middlesbrough in a deal worth up to £20 million in 2022, spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds, but the Championship club activated a break option earlier this month after he failed to impress head coach Daniel Farke.

Spence practiced with Tottenham’s Under-21 team on Monday and is not expected to play for Ange Postecoglou’s side in the near future.
