“Love is a Many-Splendored Thing: Sharon Stone’s Romantic Life in the Spotlight”
Sharon Stone is disclosing all the steps she takes to make sure she doesn’t have “seizures.” Stone revealed in a People magazine interview that she needs to get a good “eight hours of uninterrupted sleep” following her stroke in 2001 in order to prevent another health issue. She admitted to the outlet, “I wanted to pretend for a long time that everything was fine.” “In order to prevent seizures, my brain medicine needs to be taken for eight hours straight. I don’t get employed very often since I am a disability hire. I am now transparent about the issues that I have been coping with for the last 22 years.”
Stone has already discussed how Hollywood rejected her following her medical episode. SHARON STONE SAYS THAT A “BASIC INSTINCT” NUDITY SHOT WAS THE REASON SHE LOST CUSTODY OF SON ROAN. During The Hollywood Reporter’s “Raising Our Voices” luncheon in June, Stone acknowledged that, like everyone else in the room, she too is “a person that has a diversity issue.”
“In2001, I suffered a stroke. My chances of surviving were 1%. My brain was bleeding for nine days. I had no jobs for seven years while I was recovering. My agreement was modified. My day can only be as long as 14 hours. I didn’t want to tell anyone when it first happened because, you know, you’re out if something goes wrong with you. I’ve been out for twenty years because something went wrong with me,” she said.
Stone was making strides in her career at the time of her stroke. Five years prior to the health issue, she received an Oscar nomination for her performance in “Casino”. She adopted their son Roan with her former spouse, Phil Bronstein, few months before to her stroke. Since then, Stone has taken in two additional adoptees, Quinn, 17, and Laird, 18. Roan is twenty-three now.
