. A real problem.” Klopp said the club was not operating in a “wonderland” and highlighted the impact on the economy and costs of trying to sign players of sufficient quality in the winter transfer window. Liverpool have become the latest club to sign Sporting CP defender Gonzalo Inacio. The 22-year-old has attracted interest from Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and most recently Arsenal. The report also claims that the Portugal international will only be sold if his £52million release clause is activated. Liverpool have joined the race to sign Fluminense centre-back Nino.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Manchester United have joined the race to sign the Fluminense defender via HITC and have requested information on a possible deal in January. The report also states that Nino could leave Fluminense for around €7 million before his contract expires in December 2024. Nino has spent the last five seasons at Fluminense, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 143 appearances for the club. He would also move to Roma.
