Liverpool’s fixture list could see big changes in the coming weeks depending on the next two results. The Reds moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are now five points clear of Manchester City with a game in hand. Liverpool play two games in separate cup competitions this week. United travel to Craven Cottage on Wednesday to face Fulham in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final before taking on Norwich City at Anfield in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.
If Liverpool win two matches, the club’s roster will be adjusted. The Carabao Cup final will take place on Sunday 25 February, with the fifth leg of the FA Cup taking place a few days later on 28 February. Liverpool are set to face Luton Town in the Premier League at Anfield on February 24, with the match set to be rescheduled if Liverpool beat Fulham.
A win against Norwich on Sunday would secure a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup. However, there is no need to reschedule Premier League matches as these matches take place in the middle of the week. A draw with Norwich would give Liverpool another chance to qualify for the FA Cup.
This match is scheduled to take place on February 6. Liverpool return to Premier League action at home to Chelsea next Wednesday, a day before the end of the January transfer window. Then it’s off to Arsenal for games against Burnley and Brentford. Manchester United are still active in the Europa League and could be hot in the second half of the season.
