The Lions signed veteran L.B. Bruce Irwin and D.L. Tyson announced four roster moves that will take Alualu to the next level.The team also added TE Anthony Firkser to the active roster and returned CB Chase Lucas to the practice squad. Irvin, 36, was a first-round pick of the Seahawks in 2012.
Irvin was released by the Raiders in 2016 before signing a four-year, $37 million contract with the Seattle. That includes $19 million guaranteed. In 2018, he signed with the Falcons and finished the season in Atlanta. From there, he signed a one-year deal with the Panthers through 2019 and returned to the Seahawks on a one-year deal in 2020, but missed the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
The Bears placed Irvin on the practice squad in 2021 and later promoted him to the active roster. He returned to the Seahawks last year before signing with the Lions a few months ago.In 2023, Irvin appeared in one game for the Lions and recorded a tackle and a sack.
