Brock Purdy, quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers, had a forgettable night, throwing four interceptions in the 49ers’ 33-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Kyle Hamilton dived in front of Deebo Samuel to catch the first interception of the night as the 49ers were driving in the red zone.
The interceptions continued to pile up after that, with two of the final three coming off of tipped passes.
As Purdy’s interceptions mounted up, the game provided an opportunity for his detractors to speak out.
Purdy must accept responsibility for his mistakes, but many were ready to dismiss what he’d accomplished all season because of one bad game.
Deebo Samuel, a teammate, stated after the game why some people were so quick to criticize Purdy.
“It’s the Niners, it’s the impact we have on everyone.”
“It seems like no one wants us to win,” Samuel said Kay Adams.
“I feel like they’re quick to point fingers when things don’t go as planned, even though everyone knows we’re still the best team in the league.
” It’s insane how much they attempt to smear and discredit him, considering he still threw for 255 yards. It’s the NFL, so it’s bound to happen.
“You can’t control tip balls flying 25 or 30 feet in the air and giving guys chances to catch them,” according to the Up & Adams Show.
