Las Vegas Raiders head teach Antonio Pierce exhibits which QB will begin with the bulk of first-team reps
Despite not securing a rookie quarterback in the draft, a move they had anticipated, the Raiders are nevertheless in a promising role with two quarterbacks who they accept as true with can lead them to victory in 2024. Aidan O’Connell, a fourth-round rookie ultimate year, performed as expected. Minshew, on the other hand, got here close to guiding his group to the playoffs. The upcoming offseason will be crucial as Pierce closely observes the opposition between the two.
Here’s the deal: The Raiders have an exceptional roster round their quarterbacks. They addressed each want they had – except QB – and constructed an even better roster than the one they had ultimate season, which noticed them nearly make the playoffs.
But even with Gardner Minshew’s free-agent addition, the Raiders still have to determine who will be the quarterback to begin the year. They will use the offseason, including minicamps, practices, coaching camps, etc., to determine who is worthy.
But for now, Antonio Pierce has already advised us who will get the first snaps of practice.
“What Aidan [O’Connell] did the closing 4 video games and from what he is finished this offseason – changing his body, his work ethic, being right here every day, blocking off out the outside noise, not concerned about anything, I’m excited… Aidan has already taken the bull by way of the horns and is main the way, and [Gardner] Minshew’s doing it as well,” head teach Antonio Pierce said.
“That’s two guys that have played. And you saw them play in opposition to every other final year, and they went neck to neck. But I’m truly excited to see what happens. I think it is going to be a process. We’re going to stick to the process. But as I said before, Aidan’s earned the right to go out there and get the first snap.”
